Day 1

Subject: [firstname]: Thanks for signing up.

Dear [firstname],

Thanks for signing up to this short e-course on developing your personal brand. Over the coming days I’m going to be sending you a LOT of information. Be sure to check your inbox every day and to mark my messages as “important”. It’s also a good idea to set some time aside each day to read my messages and act on the information they contain.

Specifically, we’re going to talk about:

Why branding matters.
Why entrepreneurs should pay particular attention to their branding.
The elements that make up your brand.
How to define your brand and to get started with it.
And much more!

Of course, if you want to get a head start on all this, I’ve put together a no-holes barred manual that takes you by the hand and explains everything in detail. You can find out all about it here: [link to sales page].

What is personal branding and why should you care?

Wikipedia defines it like this:

“The conscious and intentional effort to create and influence public perception of an individual by positioning them as an authority in their industry, elevating their credibility, and differentiating themselves from the competition, to ultimately advance their career, increase their circle of influence, and have a larger impact.

“The process of personal branding involves finding your uniqueness, building a reputation on the things you want to be known for, and then allowing yourself to be known for them.”

I once heard personal branding described as “what people say about you when you’re not around” - which perhaps puts it a bit more succinctly.

With more and more of us living our lives on social media, having a personal brand and making sure YOU control the narrative is becoming more and more important. Developing a personal brand is not that difficult – as you’ll discover over the coming days.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]

PS. Tomorrow I’ll tell you why personal branding matters and why it isn’t something that can be neglected these days. Don’t forget to check your inbox this time tomorrow.
